What a rug costs, in plain numbers.
Prices below are in US dollars per square foot of the finished rug. They give you a fair idea before we talk. Your exact price comes in writing once we know the design, the colours and the size.
Not every rug has to be made to order. We also keep a range of ready pieces that can ship straight away.

Choose how it is made.

Machine-made

These ranges are a guide. Simple, open designs sit at the lower end and dense, detailed ones at the higher end. Custom rectangular sizes cost nothing extra.
The surface, your way.
The same design can feel completely different underfoot. Pick the pile, and add embossing if you want the pattern to stand out. These are priced with your quote.
Cut pile
The loops are cut, for a soft, velvety surface.
Loop pile
The loops are left whole, for a firm, hard-wearing texture.
Cut and loop
Cut and uncut loops in one rug, so the pattern shows in the texture.
High-low
Two or more pile heights, carved by hand so the pattern stands up.
EmbossingNew
The outline of the pattern is cut lower than the pile around it, so the design reads in relief, even in a single colour.
Four things move the number.
Design
An open field is quicker to make than fine detail in every inch.
Colours
How many colours, and how closely they are matched to your reference.
Material
Silk costs the most. Wool and tufted qualities cost less.
Size and finish
The area, plus anything shaped, carved or embossed.
