The piece
Mahogany Vine fills a deep mahogany brown field with an all-over web of scrolling vines, palmettes and open rosettes drawn in gold, sand and soft cream. The drawing is fine and dense, so the pattern reads as a rich texture from across the room and as clear floral detail up close. A sand border with a gold vine and narrow guard stripes frames the field. It suits a formal living room, a study or a dining room.
